I remember seeing a picture of a woman with long red hair. It seemed like she was in some sort of attic and in the back ground was knights riding over green grass and I think there were birds. It%26#039;s a very whimsical picture in the style of Botticelli, but I don%26#039;t think it%26#039;s actually by him.
I%26#039;d love to track down the painting. Can anyone help?
Thank You.
I%26#039;m trying to track down a painting of a woman with log red hair. Botticelli?
Don%26#039;t know, but Titian was famous for painting red-haired women.

Sounds more like one of the Pre-Raphaelites than Botticelli.
Edward Burne-Jones
Dante Gabriel Rossetti
William Holman Hunt
John Everett Millais
John William Waterhouse
Ring any bells?
Reply:Sounds like %26quot;The Lady Of Shalott%26quot; - rather a favourite of the Victorian Artist
http://www.johnwilliamwaterhouse.com/pic... - no birds, and not obviously red-haired
Rather overdramaticaly by Holman Hunt http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Holma...
Red hair, attic, no Knights or birds
or perhaps, another Tennyson Poem http://calilasseia.www2.50megs.com/JMSSw...
The birds are not obvious, but they are there
Poor Mad Ned, sorry, Sir Edward Coley Burne-Jones
